Russia, most likely, resorted to provocations in Transnistria, starting explosions in the occupied part of Moldova. There are several options for how the quasi-republic can be used against Ukraine.
Political scientist and head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko explained this on air on Channel 24. According to him, there are at least 2 such scenarios.
What are the 2 options according to Musienko
The political scientist first noted that the military contingent Transnistria is absolutely closed and without support, and therefore without logistics and support, they cannot do anything, for example, against Moldova itself. However, in fact, they can only be used against Ukraine.
There are 2 scenarios. It could be used against Ukraine if the Russian contingent of troops in southern Ukraine managed to get past Nikolaev and advance the Southern Bug, moving on to Odessa.

The next option is if the Russian army managed to land troops, he believes. However, today this has minimal chances, because the Russian ships withdrew after the sinking of the cruiser Moskva.
If all these forces were coming, then yes. There would be a high probability that the contingent from Transnistria would try to hit back the Ukrainian positions that would defend Odessa from at least 2 directions, Musienko summed up.
