Negotiations with Polish carriers to unblock checkpoints, which took place on November 13, did not bring the expected results. In the morning, about 2,300 trucks were stuck in queues at the three main checkpoints.

Speaker of the State Border Service Andrey Demchenko spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.

— In the direction of departure from Poland to Ukraine, they allow one or more trucks through in an hour. As of morning, of course, there are queues, as there were in previous days. The largest number at the Yagodin checkpoint is about 1,300 trucks and 500 trucks each in the direction of Krakovets and Rava-Russkaya, he clarified.

At the same time, he noted that drivers, due to the actions of Polish carriers, choose other directions, in particular, at another checkpoint there is a certain congestion from Poland – this is Shegini.

“And as of this morning there were about 1,100 cars there, slowly but still moving in the direction of Ukraine. For example, over the past 24 hours, about 300 vehicles passed through Shegini,” Demchenko added.

On the border with Poland, in front of the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint, a Ukrainian truck driver who planned to cross the border died.
