Theoretically possible – sociologist on possible riots in Russia and regime change

Rebellions in Russia are possible only in theory/Collage 24 channels

The initiator of Russia's war in Ukraine, sociologists say, is undoubtedly Putin. However, the Russians go to this war – if not directly, then pay for it with their taxes. Their protest is possible, however, only in theory.

Yevhen Holovakha, director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon. He noted that theoretically any riots in Russia cannot be ruled out.

The credibility of the protests is very low

However, the probability of this is very low. I know what grounds there might be for mass demonstrations against the authorities. I don't see them in Russia. However, theoretically, if some significant contradictions begin at the top, this is possible. But after all, the top of Russia has long been cleared out, – Golovakha explained.

Putin left people without their own opinion at the head of the country, the sociologist says. Golovakha called the head of the Kremlin himself a “mediocre person” behind whom stands a “terrible organization”.

In Russia, the sociologist noted, there are very good “skills” for suppressing any protests.

Please note Attention! After the war, Golovakha voiced two possible scenarios. If Russia wins, the third world war will begin. If Ukraine wins, the second “cold war”.

Who can replace Vladimir Putin:

  • Earlier, the media reported that Nikolai Patrushev, the son of Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, was preparing to change the path.
  • However, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense did not confirm this information.
  • The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vadim Skibitsky emphasized that they want to introduce Patrushev to the highest echelons of power.
  • It is Patrushev Sr. who is now the most close to Putin.
  • Meanwhile, Russian opposition journalist Igor Yakovenko believes that ordinary Russians will never be able to overthrow Putin's regime, but the head of the Kremlin can simply be “finished off” by their own.
