Commander of the Ukrainian 36th Marine Brigade Sergei Volynsky (“Volina”) addressed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He asks to apply the “extraction” procedure to them and take them to the territory of Turkey.
Reference: The extraction or exfiltration procedure involves the withdrawal of military and civilian from the scene of hostilities to a safe zone.

In his address, Volynsky stressed that he was acting as the 36th Marine Brigade, located in the Mariupol garrison and fighting in been surrounded for 65 days.
According to him, 600 servicemen with injuries of varying degrees are in great need of help. There are also many civilians and dozens of children who need help – the youngest is 4 months old.
While I am asking the distinguished Mr. President to apply the extraction procedure to us, to do everything for in order to take the Mariupol garrison to the territory of Turkey, to practically take us out of Azovstal with security guarantees from the Turkish side,” he asked.
The commander noted that they were counting on Turkey’s help in their evacuation.< /p>

What is happening in Mariupol: in brief
