President Volodymyr Zelensky said the world understands little about the war in Ukraine. The head of state believes that in order to understand the war, one must feel its direct influence.
Zelensky: Those who have lost loved ones understand this war most deeply
About this he said in an interview with the American television channel CBS. Zelensky is convinced that the world understands little about the war in Ukraine, like any other conflict.
I think the world understands little about this war. As in principle, in any war, because if you are not a subject, you understand little, the President said.
The President noted that even Ukrainians who have gone abroad during the last time. “Even they don’t fully understand, although they have Ukrainian blood,” Zelensky said.
According to the head of state, only people who lost because of it understand the war.
“Who understands the war? The one who lost something in this war. And most of all, those who lost in this war understand,” he said.
Zelensky added that “deepest of all in this shameful war is understood by those who have lost loved ones.”
The President said that due to the large amount of information he knows the price of this war, but no one understands it as deeply as “the people who suffered because of death of loved ones”.
The Head of State noted that foreigners need to come to Ukraine in order to understand the war.
