Recall that in Europe, the initiator of a complete ban on the issuance of tourist visas to the EU citizens of Russia was Estonia. However, some other member countries have so far refrained from such a decision. Channel 24 was told by the people's deputy from the Servant of the People Oleg Dunda.
He believes that now everything is going to the fact that the issuance of tourist visas to representatives of Russia will still be banned, because the world gradually begins to understand what risks the aggressor country carries for them.
From the very beginning it was not clear, they tried in every possible way to somehow return to February 23, to pretend that nothing was happening. But over time, this war begins to turn the brains of European citizens. Dunda noted.
Initially, such a “revolution of consciousness” takes place in the countries of the so-called New Europe, and then other states begin to follow them, like carriages of the same train.
Moreover, according to the people's deputy, Great Britain, the Scandinavian countries, the USA, although they do not belong to the EU, understand that such an empire as Russia should not exist. Even French President Emmanuel Macron recently publicly called Russia “one of the last colonial empires.”
“Accordingly, he must die. Not physically, but politically. Such a country should not exist, there should be separate national states – Tatarstan , Kalmykia and others, as well as the medium-sized nation-state of Russia,” says Oleg Dunda.
Everything that is happening now, including visa sanctions, are tools for dismantling the Russian empire, he summed up.
How Europe treats the entry ban for Russians
- On August 9, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas called on the European Union to ban the issuance of tourist visas to Russian citizens. She noted that visiting Europe is not a human right, but a privilege, and Russians should not have it.
- In addition, they began to act there not only in words, and announced that from August 18 Russian citizens will not be able to enter Estonia for Schengen visas.
- According to journalist Rikard Jozwiak, the EU is already preparing to discuss such a ban for Russians, but they are unlikely to make such a drastic decision there.
- Earlier, the European Commission explained why they could not accept a complete ban on visas for Russians. Like, the sanctions are aimed at the Russian authorities and the elite, but there is a group of people who should be granted visas in any case.
