The West is gradually providing Ukraine with certain types of weapons to fight the Russian invaders. The fact is that the world cannot quickly fulfill our weapons “order”.

Why Ukraine is slowly being provided with weapons
Grabsky noted that we would all really like to see the amount of equipment that now enters Ukraine be multiplied by 10 and it came yesterday.
But you have to understand that the world was not preparing for such a war, and simply those stocks of equipment do not exist in nature in order to fulfill ours with you “order” for the supply of such volumes of equipment, – explained the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, according to him, the same statements by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg testify that the world is aware of the threat and understands that Ukraine will win this war and is doing everything to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At first, he noted , we were happy about $400-600 million in military aid from the US, and now we are talking about the US aid package in the amount of $2.85 billion. That is, now the flywheel of supplies of equipment is increasing.
Tanks or armored vehicles are better
The military expert noted that the United States built the last one in 1992, that is, there is a time gap of 30 years. The tank, firstly, is a rather complex combat mechanism that needs to be maintained and repaired.
Secondly, the tank is a rather complex vehicle, and here we must understand that tanks are the weapons of the last century,” Grabsky said.
In addition, he added, the tanks are difficult to operate, have specific features, in particular, in terms of engines. Therefore, in his opinion, it would be better to have more M2 Bradley combat vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers and other weapons, which are more maneuverable and will allow the Armed Forces to solve a wider range of tasks.

Ukraine needs ATACMS missiles
The colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that it would be very good if Ukraine were given unlimited access to long-range missiles that can be launched from HIMARS. We are talking about ATACMS.
Because, Grabsky explained, you can throw as many tanks as you like into the crucible of war, realizing that we will never reach parity in number with Russian tanks, but we can use asymmetric means of fire, destroying offensive potential of the enemy, hitting his bases, warehouses and command posts, which are much cheaper than the same tanks.
In his opinion, according to the dynamics that we have been observing in the supply of equipment since January 2022, there is hope that Ukraine will receive parity weapons from the West, something like the Tomahawk, or at least at the first stage, at least ATACMS or Precision Strike Missile, hitting up to 600 kilometers.
What weapons Ukraine gets: the main ones
- Ukraine will soon receive American Bradley armored cars. This was confirmed by US President Joe Biden himself. BMPs are designed to transport motorized infantry units to the battlefield, conduct combat from a vehicle and provide fire support.
- French President Emmanuel Macron promised to provide Ukraine with AMX-10 RC light tanks and ACMAT Bastion armored personnel carriers. This will significantly help the Ukrainian army in the fight against the aggressor.
- Ukraine will also receive 200 Senator armored vehicles from Canada. In general, the range of use of such machines is quite wide, so they will significantly enhance the capabilities of our warriors on the battlefield.
