John Kirby said it was “normal” for Russian dictator Putin to attack civilian infrastructure. After all, he “doesn’t care whether people are in hospitals or residential buildings.”

Coordinator of Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council John Kirby briefing answered the question whether such an attack by Russia is a definite signal on the eve of the NATO summit on July 9-11 in Washington, writes 24 Channel.

What Kirby stated

I can't stress enough what it is some message. But, as I said, what you will see over the course of this week is a very strong set of signals and messages to Mr. Putin that he cannot wait out NATO, he cannot wait out the United States. “We will continue to support Ukraine,” Kirby assured.

He also noted that Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian energy, specifically depriving civilians of light before the fall and winter.< /p>

The White House also assured that at the Alliance summit in Washington there will be “several serious steps” to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.

Previously, a US administration representative explained that NATO member countries at the summit must confirm their readiness to support Ukraine both now and in the long term. They also plan to announce new steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense at the Alliance summit.
