White House Advisor John Kirby denied statements by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about ATACMS missiles allegedly shot down by the Russians.
He said this during a telephone briefing on Tuesday, April 30.
— No, I cannot confirm reports that any of them (ATACMS missiles — Ed.) were shot down — noted a White House representative in response to a request to comment on statements from the Russian Federation.
Kirby also did not specify exactly how many long-range missiles of this type the United States transferred to Ukraine.

What is known about Shoigu's statements
Recall that earlier the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu stated that Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down six ATACMS missiles launched from the Ukrainian side.
Note that he did not specify where exactly, according to him, this could happen.
