U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the United States provided Ukraine with the last security aid package for which it had funds before the New Year.
Kirby said this at a briefing for journalists.
— We have already provided Ukraine with the last security assistance package for which we have funds, just before the New Year and after Christmas. And now we must get the support of Congress in order to continue to do this,” he noted.

President Joe Biden, in accordance with his authority, signed the last security aid package for Kyiv for which funds were available.
— This is all. We need an additional package to be passed so that we can provide additional security assistance to Ukraine, — Kirby noted.
