NATO is beginning its largest military exercise in decades. The scenario contains the threat of a Russian attack on the territory of the Alliance countries. NATO has changed its strategy.

If earlier the Alliance allowed for the reconquest of occupied territories, now they are only considering repelling an attack. This Channel 24 was noted by diplomat and international affairs expert Ruslan Osipenko.

“First of all, NATO’s main enemy is This is uncertainty in the implementation of even the strategy that they adopted. Their strategy has already changed. If they allowed the seizure of part of the territory, and then its reconquest, now it is containment and reflection. That is, denial of access to the territory of any NATO country,” he said.

According to the diplomat, such uncertainty in NATO frightens the entire West.

What do NATO exercises mean

Ruslan Osipenko noted that NATO exercises mean the deployment of forces and assets in accordance with a modified concept, coordinating troops, searching for weak points. Strategists are working out concepts, and the military is organizing troops and preparing them for war.

Therefore, the process of preparing for war is now underway. We must prepare for a big war, which will not be limited to the Ukrainian-Russian war. This is not a regional war. “This is the forerunner of a great war, a confrontation between alliances, democratic and personalist regimes,” the diplomat emphasized.
