The war in Ukraine has entered a critical stage – foreign intelligence

The full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which has been going on for 21 months, has entered a critical period.

This was reported by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine , Alexander Litvinenko.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that having failed to defeat Ukraine in three days in a full-scale war, the Kremlin has passed the point of no return in relations with the West.

“There is no return, Putin can only win triumphantly or lose crushingly,” says Litvinenko.

He noted that Putin is convinced that “it is possible to return Ukraine and the rest of the “historical Russian lands” and restore the empire only within the framework of a global redistribution of the world.”

Such redistribution can last 10-15 years, accompanied by conflicts of varying scale and intensity, possibly with the use of nuclear weapons.

“At the same time, the war against Ukraine is now perceived by the Kremlin as an important, but not the only front for the Russian Federation, which is actually waging a world war with the United States and the West as a whole,” says the head of foreign intelligence.

In addition, Litvinenko believes that Putin’s goals are unchanged – he needs “the return of the original Russian lands.”

— The war has entered the stage of war of attrition. There is more and more evidence that the Kremlin is ready to wage war as long as necessary. The Russian Federation is already incorporating the “SVO” factor into its plans for recruiting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for 2024-2025, he says.

According to him, the Russian Federation believes that it has enough resources (military-technical, economic and human) for military operations with Ukraine at the current level for a long period. At the same time, the Kremlin is convinced that Ukraine’s internal resources are allegedly “approaching complete exhaustion.”
