The President said this Volodymyr Zelensky during an evening address to Ukrainians, Channel 24 reports. He stressed that one cannot forget about the war or become carefree.

According to the head of state, Ukrainians die every day for the independence of Ukraine. Zelensky said that every Ukrainian should take care of helping the defense and the army every day.

Perhaps it seems to some in some cities in the rear that the war can be forgotten. And – to become carefree. Or even careless. But no, it's not. Every day Ukrainians die for our independence. Every day! And each and every one of us must take care every day to help the defense. Help the army. With what they can. As best they can,” the president said.

What else did Vladimir Zelensky say

• The Ukrainian president once again thanked the leader of the United States of America, Joseph Biden, for his $40 billion support. Zelensky said that this is a historic contribution to the defense of freedom.
• The President also noted that in Russia they began to say that their so-called “special operation”, which they use to cover up the war against Ukraine, caused the economy to fall.

• According to Zelensky, the situation in Donbas is now very difficult. At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian defenders and defenders are holding the line. As the President said, they are making a concrete contribution to Ukraine's victory over Russia.

On May 21, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. During the call, Zelensky and Draghi discussed cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry, the need to adopt the 6th package of sanctions against Russia and unblock Ukrainian ports.

In addition, the head of state in Kyiv received Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa. The parties held lengthy and substantive negotiations on the European integration of Ukraine.
