During the election campaign, Trump repeated that he wanted to declassify documents on the assassinations of high-ranking and famous US figures. He failed to do so during his first term, when the intelligence community asked that most classified material be kept secret.

The order has now been officially signed by the President of the United States. The details of the order are not being made public, nor is whether it represents a general declassification of the events.

Recall that 35 US President John Kennedykilled November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. He was shot with a rifle while riding down the street in the presidential motorcade with his wife Jacqueline.

Trump signed a number of decrees as US President
