The US has imposed new sanctions against Iran. A company that could sell drones to Russia fell under the restrictions.

Restrictions apply to four companies and one individual persons from Iran. This was announced by the US Treasury Department on March 8.
One of these companies, Safiran Airport Service, was sanctioned due to deals with Russia. The agency did not provide details, but it is obviously talking about the supply of drones.
What is known about Iranian drones for Russia
On July 11, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that the White House has information that Iran could supply Russia with attack drones. They say that the Russian military will soon teach how to use them.
Specialists from the American Institute for Studies believe that Iranian drones can significantly strengthen Russia's aerial reconnaissance and change the situation in terms of accuracy of attacks. On August 26, American media reported that the Kremlin was probably already using drones in the war against Ukraine.
At the same time, Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov argues that Moscow did not buy any drones from Iran. It is, they say, the Western media are engaged in “stuffing”. At the same time, the puppet of the aggressor stressed that relations between Russia and Iran are “developing dynamically”.
