Bashar al-Assad
The US has imposed sanctions against 18-year-old son of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. This was reported on the website of the U.S. Treasury.
The Agency has expanded the list of persons with whom U.S. citizens are prohibited from entering into any transaction, and whose property in the US should be arrested. Sanctions threatened and foreigners who interact with people from this list.
Now it includes the son of the head of state Hafez al-Assad, repeatedly went to foreign countries to compete in mathematics, and also a cousin of President Zuhair Tawfiq al-Assad, commander of the 1st armored division of the Syrian Arab army.
“Bashar al-Assad and his business partners — partners in the destruction of the Syrian economy. They spend tens of millions of dollars each month to wage war against the Syrian people instead of having to provide for his basic needs,” describes the American Agency the activities of persons included in the sanctions list.
