Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson announced the submission to parliament of a bill that would provide funding for assistance to Ukraine and the protection of the borders of the United States.
Johnson said this during a press conference in Congress.
According to him, such a bill will be the next one after the House of Representatives votes on aid to Israel.

Mike Johnson added that he believes it is right to combine funding for assistance to Ukraine and protection of the border with Mexico, because this way it will be possible to obtain bipartisan agreement on these issues.
“We have responsibilities, there are things we can and should do all over the world, but first of all we must take care of our own home. And while our borders are wide open, we open ourselves to a great threat. If we want to help with the borders in Ukraine, we must also take care of the American border,” the speaker added.
We would like to add that voting for the draft law on Israel for $14.3 billion will take place today, November 2.
Politico previously reported that House Speaker Mike Johnson supports aid to Ukraine, although he opposes its combination with funds for Israel.
