Ukraine will receive more Switchblade 600 loitering drones. This will significantly help eliminate Russian military targets.

According to the publication, Switchblade 300 is now preferred in Ukraine. However, according to Charlie Dean, vice president of global business development and marketing at the defense company AeroVironment, where these drones are manufactured, the situation with the Switchblade 600 will soon change.

The publication indicates that the United States transferred several types of UAVs to Ukraine, including Switchblade and Phoenix Ghost.
Ukraine has been actively using Switchblade at the front since the first year of a full-scale war with Russia. At the same time, the Pentagon does not disclose the number of transferred drones.
— The US provided Ukraine with a very large number of Switchblade 300, — Dean reported.
He added that these loitering UAVs “are quickly used on the battlefield with their intended tasks”.
According to the vice president of AeroVironment, Switchblade 600 are beginning to actively arrive in Ukraine.
— The Model 600 gives Ukrainian operators a range of about 55 miles (about 90 km, —Ed.), which means they can destroy very sensitive Russian targets far behind Russian front lines, which they cannot do other types of weapons to that extent, — Dean said.
There is constant communication between AeroVironment and Switchblade operators in Ukraine, which allows drone designs to be improved or adjusted within a few weeks.
Note that lighter version of this UAV (Switchblade 300), was created for direct and immediate air support of the unit and the destruction of enemy personnel. When the larger and more modern version of the Switchblade 600 is designed to destroy enemy tanks and armored vehicles.
