The US is working closely with the EU to export Ukrainian grain

The U.S. is working closely with European partners to bring 25 million tons of grain blocked in Ukraine to the market to reduce global food prices, Biden said.

Now is the best the only option is to export grain by rail – through other countries. However, Biden admitted that there are a number of logistical problems in the delivery of grain by land.

In Ukraine and the EU, the width of the path is different

One of the biggest is that in Ukraine there is a different width of the railway track than in the EU. That is why there was a need for temporary elevators. Already from the EU, grain would be delivered to the necessary points of the world by water transport.

Previously, a similar option was considered in the European Union. True, the governments of the EU countries talked about providing their granaries.
