The United States calls on Ukraine to mobilize: Graham conveyed an important message from the White House

American Senator Lindsey Graham, during a visit to Kiev, noted the need for Ukraine to adopt a law on mobilization to strengthen defense capabilities.

“Before leaving (to Ukraine – Channel 24) I spoke with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and asked him what I could do to help the (US Presidential) administration? He replied that I would raise the issue of the mobilization law”, said Graham.

The politician is convinced that increasing the number of Ukrainian troops is important for the further fight against the aggressor. From Graham's words, it is clear that Washington expects Ukraine to take active action in this direction.

• On January 30, the Ukrainian government submitted to the Verkhovna Rada an updated draft law on mobilization with registration number 10449. Proposals include the use of electronic summonses and lowering the minimum age of conscripts to 25 years.
• The new bill also provides for the introduction of a demobilization period of 36 months, the possibility of voluntary mobilization for persons serving sentences, and the establishment of restrictions for persons who evade service.
