The UN said that as of the 33rd day of the war, 1,179 civilians were killed in Ukraine. Another 1,860 Ukrainians were injured.
Among those killed were 104 children. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine noted that as of the 34th day of the war in Ukraine, 144 dead minors.
Wounded children, according to the UN, 132.
Most of the recorded civilian casualties were caused by the use of explosive weapons with a wide area of effect. In particular, due to shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, as well as due to rocket and air strikes, the report says.
At the same time, the organization noted that the actual numbers are significantly above. After all, from places where intense hostilities continue, information comes later.
