The Ukrainian women's tennis team defeated the Netherlands in the playoffs of the Billie Jean King Cup. Based on the results of four matches played, the Ukrainians won with a score of 3:1.
Ukraine was the nominal host, but the matches took place in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The first game day on Saturday, November 11, ended with a score of 1:1. Angelina Kalinina, in her debut match for the national team, won in two sets over Susan Lamens (6:2, 6:3). However, the second game ended in the defeat of Dayana Yastremskaya from Aranchi Rus (3:6, 2:6).

On the second day of play, Kalinina prevailed over Rus (6:4, 6:4), and Yastremskaya beat Lamens in a tense three-set match – 4:6, 6:1, 7:5.
Yastremska's victory in the fourth match allowed the national team to win an early victory over the Netherlands. Therefore, the planned doubles game between sisters Lyudmila and Nadezhda Kichenok against the Netherlands was cancelled.
In 2024, the Ukrainian national team will play in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifications. The Netherlands, as the defeated team, will instead spend the next season in Regional Group One.
