The Ukraine national team won their first victory at Euro 2024, beating Slovakia in the second round match of the Euro 2024 group stage.

But in the 80th minute of the match already Yaremchuk scored a goal that was decisive in the match and helped the blue-yellows beat the Slovak team. Roman responded to a lobbed pass from Shaparenko, got ahead of the opposing defender and shot past Dubravka.
