Team Ukraine defeated team Moldova in the third friendly match in preparation for Euro 2024 football.

For the game against Moldova, Sergei Rebrov’s coaching staff fielded an updated lineup compared to the match against the Poles. In particular, Champions League winner Andrei Lunin took his place in goal, and Viktor Tsygankov, Georgy Sudakov and Roman Yaremchuk came out from the first minutes.

It was Yaremchuk who scored the first goal against the Moldavian national team after a mistake by the defenders, hitting the top corner of the opposing goalkeeper.
With the score 0:1, the blue-yellows had to make a forced substitution. Instead of Vitaly Mikolenko,who was injured in the match, Alexander Zinchenko appeared on the field. During the break of the match, it became known that the Everton defender was quickly taken to a hospital in Chisinau for a quick analysis of the nature of the injury.
Before leaving for the locker rooms, the blue-yellows doubled their lead thanks to a goal from Viktor Tsygankov into the bottom corner of the goal.
In the second half, instead of Yaremchuk, Artem Dovbik appeared on the field, , and four minutes were enough to bring the score to a crushing one. The Girona forward, after an assist from Georgi Sudakov, shot right into the corner of the Moldovan goal.
Another five minutes later, Dovbik assisted Sudakov, who set the final score on the scoreboard.
