Germany stands in solidarity with Ukraine on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion. Burnt Russian equipment was brought to Berlin.
This was reported on February 24 at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It was noted that the Russians wrote “To Berlin!” on their tanks, but they could only get there on Ukrainian tractors.
“From today, in the capitals of Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, as a monument to the unfulfilled ambitions of the Russians, Russian tanks shot down in Ukraine have been installed. In particular, in Berlin, the remains are on display in front of the building of the Russian embassy,” the ministry said.

How the tank was transported
According to the publication Bild, the delivery of the tank to Berlin was organized for several months, as there were disputes with local authorities and the community. In the German capital, it was believed that the tank could frighten Syrians who had fled the war or distract cyclists. However, the administrative court subsequently allowed the exhibition. The initiators were German activists – museum director and journalist Enno Lenze and journalist Wieland Giebel.
What is known about the destroyed tanks
The T-72 tanks, standing at the Russian Embassy in Berlin, belonged to the fifth separate guards tank brigade of the invaders. They were destroyed in March 2022 near the village of Dmitrovka, Kiev region, in battles with units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
Now the tanks of the brigade, whose employees attacked Debaltseve in 2015, and mutilated Bucha in 2022, are exhibits of the National Military History Museum. Over time, they will return to Ukraine to be the only Russian tanks here that are allowed to stand on our soil, the Ministry of Defense said.
Minister Oleksiy Reznikov thanked his German Colleague Boris Pistorius. He noted that tanks are symbols of Russia's failure.

Another installation in Germany
On February 22, a Russkiy Mir installation was installed near the Russian Embassy in Berlin. They collected dictatorial legislative acts of Russia or precedents recorded by international organizations regarding the actions of the invaders in the occupied territories.
