The Main Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) stated that the post on the social network Facebook of MP Maryana Bezugla about the so-called million-dollar bonuses of the generals does not correspond to reality, but rather brings discord and mistrust into Ukrainian society.

The Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the military command is ready to provide the media with the necessary clarifications on this information.

— Thus, Article 15 of Section II of the Law of Ukraine On the Disciplinary Regulations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides an exhaustive list of incentives that apply to military personnel. Among them are, in particular, cash bonuses — in addition to valuable gifts, badges and distinctions, certificates, gratitude, etc., — the StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes.
To ensure such bonuses and valuable gifts, the Minister of Defense annually issues a separate order within the limits of expenses provided by the state budget. Consequently, the commanders and leaders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their branches and individual branches of the armed forces receive money to encourage personnel with bonuses — this is necessary for additional motivation of the best military personnel.
Thus, the incentive fund of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024 amounted to 19 million UAH. Incentive bonuses were paid to 426 servicemen, including soldiers, sergeants and officers.
The incentive fund of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine last year amounted to 1.8 million UAH, but a significantly smaller amount went to bonuses for 22 servicemen.

< p > In turn, the head of the communications department of the Air Force command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, responded to Bezuglya's message. He called Bezuglya's message manipulation against the backdrop of high-profile detentions of generals.
< p > Yuriy Ignat explained that the commanders' bonuses — this is a fund of one or another leader, from which money is allocated for bonuses for military personnel, assistance to the wounded and other social things specifically for the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
