Ukrainian defense forces the day before retook positions in the north of the Kharkov region and moved forward within the central part of Volchansk.

Analysts also cite a statement by the commander of a Ukrainian unmanned battalion operating in the Kharkov direction, who reported on June 28 that the situation in the north of the region had stabilized, and Russian troops had not made any significant progress since about June 12.
According to him, the Russian army uses here both assault units, staffed by poorly trained personnel, and regular troops.
At the same time, he noted that the occupiers are quickly replenishing their losses in this area.

Head of the Center for Combating Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko confirmed that the Defense Forces are gradually ousting the invaders from Volchansk, the fighting is taking place outside the streets.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the day before, in the Kharkov direction, the invaders, with the support of aviation, attacked 12 times in the Volchansk area. Defense Force units successfully repulsed 10 enemy assaults.
