Ukrainian Defense Forces completed their withdrawal from Avdiivka on Saturday, February 17.

Also, a representative of OSUV Tavria confirmed that a number of Ukrainian military personnel who carried out combat missions in Avdiivka were captured.
Likhovy did not give an exact figure. However, he noted that this number may decrease when some of these warriors are likely to return to their units. After all, the exit from Avdeevka was carried out in difficult conditions.
The military man noted the need for painstaking verification of all those who left but have not yet joined their own, as well as those who were unable to leave Avdiivka.
He noted that this takes some time, and also urged not to speculate on this topic.

Message from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the Lastochkino and Pervomaisky districts of the Donetsk region.
The enemy also carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Zhelannye, Orlovka, Semenovka in the Donetsk region.
About 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, among them Novokalinovo, Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoe, Lastochkino, Severnoye, Pervomaiskoye in the Donetsk region.
February 17, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were withdrawing from Avdiivka due to the situation around the city and in order to preserve the life and health of the military.
Syrsky noted that the Ukrainian defenders fulfilled their military duty with dignity, did everything possible to destroy the best Russian military units and inflicted significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment.
