On Tuesday, November 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft near the city of Avdeevka (Donetsk region).
The speaker of the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, Alexander Shtupun, spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.
According to him, since the intensification of the invaders’ assault operations in the Avdiivka direction, this is already the eighth such aircraft destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

– Let's start with the good news. A Russian subsonic attack aircraft Su-25 was shot down near Avdeevka. Since October 10, the moment the enemy became active in the Donetsk region, this is the eighth such aircraft destroyed,” Shtupun noted.
According to him, as soon as the enemy flies into the coverage area of our air defense, Ukrainian soldiers immediately try to shoot down the planes, “and they do it quite successfully.”
Russian troops continued active military operations throughout today. Our soldiers in the Avdeevsky direction successfully repelled 15 enemy attacks.
The enemy mainly throws infantry into battle, since the Ukrainian Armed Forces previously destroyed a lot of Russian military equipment. In addition, it has started to rain, making it difficult for vehicles to get through.
On November 10, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that Russian troops have been actively trying to storm Avdeevka for about a month.
During this time, our military destroyed more than 100 enemy tanks, 250 other armored vehicles, about fifty artillery systems, and about 10 thousand invaders. At that time, seven Su-25 aircraft were also destroyed.
