The head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.
According to her data, the Ukrainian military destroyed five large-caliber guns of the Russian Federation over the past 24 hours.

– This is a powerful result of the Defense Forces. Minus 18 invaders and three more boats, on which they tried to maneuver among the islands and place their observation posts there. One of these points was also destroyed,” Gumenyuk emphasized.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces in the South continue the counter-battery fight. Ukrainian soldiers, with the help of fire measures, knock out the invaders from positions on the left bank of the Dnieper in order to prevent shelling of the right bank of the Kherson region.
As Gumenyuk noted, during the counter-battery fight it was possible to push the enemy back in different areas to a distance of 3 to 10 km .
“But we need to clear a strip of at least 30 km for this to be truly effective,” she clarified.
In general, the situation in the South remains tense, since Russian troops continue to terrorize civilians with shelling. The day before, the invaders dropped an aerial bomb on a residential area of occupied Novaya Kakhovka.
