What is known about the “Sarmat”

The “Sarmat-3” armored car is the latest version of the Russian line of military vehicles, developed by the “Tekhnika” experimental design bureau.

Work on the project began in the 2010s and was completed around 2016-2017. After revision in 2018, the LSTS-1944 “Sarmat-3” model was presented.

The main characteristics include a weight of 3.5 tons, a maximum speed of 150 kilometers per hour, the ability to transport 8 people or 1,500 kilograms of cargo. Armament can consist of machine guns and anti-tank missiles.
