The Ukraine-NATO Council will be held for the first time at the level of chiefs of the Armed Forces

Council Ukraine — For the first time, NATO will take place at the level of the chiefs of the Armed Forces. It is scheduled for January 2024 as part of a meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's military committee.

According to NATO, the meeting of the highest military body will take place during the 17th — January 18. The Chiefs of the NATO General Staff and their counterpart from Sweden will take part.

The Council meeting will be chaired by the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer.

At the meetings they plan to pay attention to issues of the defense industry, interoperability, a roadmap for adapting to current and future threats, air and missile defense.

The second day of the meeting will begin with a meeting of defense chiefs with their counterparts from Australia, Austria, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, they will separately discuss Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the situation at the front, as well as further support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from NATO and its allies.
