All this will not be erased by introducing bans on Italian and international media, the Italian Foreign Ministry wrote.

The ministry added that the sanctions “do not eliminate or mitigate the consequences of the brutal , destructive and illegal war.”

  • Recall that Moscow introduced restrictions on broadcasting and access to 81 European media from 25 European countries, as well as pan-European media.
  • In particular, the Kremlin’s “black list” included Politico, Euobserver Spiegel, Mundo, Repubblica, Liberation, France-Presse, Le Monde and many others.
  • Russia said these measures were in response to the EU Council's May 17 decision to ban its propaganda media (RIA Novosti, Izvestia and Rossiyskaya Gazeta).
