Russian invaders continue to maintain tension in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are effectively counteracting the enemy.
This was reported by the press service of the Operational Command “South”.
Tension in the Black Sea remains due to the presence of a Russian naval group, the threat of landings, as well as reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles, including strike type.

What citizens should not do
Given this situation, OK Yug urged citizens to remain calm and follow some rules:
- do not visit beaches and other prohibited areas;
- not be in the water using small size and other watercraft;
- do not endanger yourself;
- do not interfere actions of the defense forces.

The situation in the Black and Azov Seas: latest news
- Russian ships in the Black Sea continue to attack peaceful Ukrainian cities with missiles. Also, their presence interferes with free navigation.
- According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military is actively using ships in the Black and Azov Seas. They strike at the territory of Ukraine. Now the enemy has 3 such ships there.
- On May 1, the Ukrainian military carried out another attack on the positions of Russian invaders on Zmeiny Island. As a result, the enemy suffered significant losses both in personnel and in equipment. In particular, 42 occupiers were killed.
- Turkey discovered large deposits of gas in the Black Sea. In the near future, they plan not only to mine it, but to actively use it.
