Germany has handed over a new aid package to Ukraine/Collage by Channel 24

Germany has announced the transfer of a new military aid package for Ukraine. In particular, it included the third Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, the shipment of which became known on July 5.

The aid package also provides for the transfer of missiles and spare parts for the Patriot air defense system. In addition, the Ukrainian army will receive radar stations and thousands of shells.

What was included in the German aid package

The military assistance package from Germany provides for the transfer of 2 self-propelled multifunctional radars TRML-4D and 9 thousand ammunition for GEPARD anti-aircraft tanks.

The Ukrainian army also will receive:

  • ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks;
  • < li data-yield-master-placement-inserted>55 thousand shells of 155 mm caliber;

  • 30 Vector reconnaissance UAVs with spare parts ;
  • 200 mobile devices for jamming drones;
  • 400 thermal imaging devices;
  • 10 autonomous sea boats;
  • < li data-yield-master-placement-inserted>4 engineering tank Wisent 1;

  • armored recovery vehicle Bergepanzer 2 with spare parts ;
  • 10 armored vehicles;
  • 2 patrol pickups.

In addition, Germany will donate SatCom satellite communication terminals, night vision goggles, rifles, machine guns, ammunition for them, smoke bombs, explosives, detonators, IT equipment and the like.

The German government added that since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Germany has transferred to Ukraine an estimated value of about 5 ,2 billion euros. In addition, more than 10 thousand Ukrainian military personnel underwent military training there. The costs of this training so far amount to about 282 million euros.

Further costs, which we do not estimate here, relate to the treatment of wounded Ukrainian soldiers – added by the German government.
