The official representative of movement “Taliban” (banned in Russia) Suhail Shaheen has denied allegations of collusion with Russia for the killing of American soldiers in Afghanistan. He said this in comments to RIA Novosti.
In a publication of the American edition of “bribery” Moscow Taliban is not a word of truth, said Sahin. In his opinion, such a message is part of the campaign launched by the opponents of the peace process in Afghanistan.
“Erroneous and unsubstantiated information has been transferred to Kabul the Department of homeland security some American and European journalists to sabotage the peace process”, โ assured the representative of the group.
In July, Shaheen said that the Taliban is not fighting for someone else’s money. “Our people own ideology for which they fight and sacrifice themselves,” he said.
The New York Times on 26 June, citing intelligence reported that the Russian military intelligence secretly offered to pay for the killing of American soldiers in Afghanistan. Thus, Moscow allegedly wanted to disrupt the peace negotiations, the U.S. and the Taliban, said the publication.
In Russia, accusations are called unfounded. The accuracy of the information was difficult to confirm and various American agencies: not all of the U.S. intelligence community believes the evidence is sufficiently convincing.
