The Z sign was banned in Belarus six months ago/APU
The Russian army uses the sign Z, depicting it on their equipment, destroying Ukrainian cities. In Belarus, this symbol was recognized as extremist back in August 2021.
Citizens of the aggressor country place the letter Z on Russian billboards, clothes, cars, organize flash mobs to support the military, destroying Ukrainian cities, Ukrainian civilians are being tortured and killed.
According to journalists, in Belarus, the Z sign, which has already become a symbol of the Russian occupation forces, has been recognized as “extremist” since August 13, 2021. Responsibility is provided for the use of the sign of the territory of Belarus.
Why the Z sign was banned in Belarus
On August 13, the Central Court of Minsk decided to recognize it as “extremist” information products of the TUT.BY portal. Accordingly, the logo with the letter Z, used by the Zerkalo publication, was also recognized as “extremist”.
Recall that the Ukrainian special services have established that the identification logo Z comes from the Nazi authorities. In particular, this sign denoted special premises on the territory of Nazi concentration camps.
