Russia poses a threat to the whole world, but there are still countries that would like to see it at the peace summit. In particular, Switzerland spoke in favor of the presence of an aggressor.

Swiss President Viola Amherd believes that Russia should be present at the “peace formula” summit. By the way, this meeting is initiated by Ukraine.

Switzerland is in contact with Russia

Politics Nya hinted that her state maintains contact with Russia in a certain way. She stressed that Switzerland is “talking to everyone.”

Russia will probably not be present, but at the same time we are committed to dialogue with everyone else,” she said.

According to her, the summit should take place as quickly as possible and this year. It is not yet known at what level it will take place. Amherd said that there was a risk that the meeting could not be organized, but if Switzerland did not make an effort, it would definitely not take place.

The summit should start the process

At the same time, she said that one should not expect that after the meeting there will be a concrete plan of action. Just getting the peace process started would be an achievement, Amherd said.

She believes a wide range of states should participate. In particular, representatives of the Global South, such as South Africa, India, Brazil and Saudi Arabia – and, if possible, China.
