The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is investigating the facts reported in the media concerning the 155th Mechanized Brigade Anna Kyiv.
This was reported by the SBI Communications Advisor Tatyana Sapyan.
Situation in the Anna Kyiv Brigade
Sapyan noted that criminal proceedings were initiated under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that relate to abuse of military authority (Article 426-1) and desertion (Article 408). The investigation is ongoing, but no preliminary conclusions have been made yet.

Earlier, the editor-in-chief of the Censor publication, Yuriy Butusov, reported that the proceedings were opened in December 2024. According to him, the investigation is under the control of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Minister of Defense, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Butusov, one of the leaders responsible for forming the brigade died of a heart attack, and the brigade commander was fired immediately after the unit entered the battle. Before the hostilities, according to Butusov, about 1,700 servicemen left the brigade without permission.
Brigade training in France
Military brigades Anna Kyiv underwent training in France. It ended in November 2024. The exercises were conducted by the French operational group Champagne, which involved 1,500 of its servicemen in the process.
Ukrainian soldiers underwent intensive training at training grounds in the east and south of France in conditions close to combat. During the exercises, French equipment was used, which after completion was transferred to Ukraine for use. In total, more than 2,000 Ukrainian servicemen have undergone training.
The 155th Anna Kyiv Brigade was formed before the start of hostilities near Pokrovsk. This military formation was supposed to be a key element of combat operations, but now its activities have found themselves in the spotlight due to possible violations. The investigation is ongoing, and the details and conclusions have not yet been made public.
