The situation with electricity in Ukraine has improved recently, primarily due to better weather conditions.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolesnik during the United News telethon.
— Before this, we had four queues, there were emergency shutdown schedules for objective reasons. Further improvement with shutdowns is primarily due to better weather conditions, the terrible heat is subsiding, according to available forecasts. This is also due to the specifics of repair campaigns at generation facilities, — he said.
The situation in the energy system could be worsened by shelling
The Deputy Minister of Energy warned of the risks of new attacks by Russia on civilian energy infrastructure facilities.
Now watching
— Today, we have a deficit as a result of shelling, 8 complex attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. This is a generation deficit of 9 gigawatts – a fairly significant amount. Therefore, the task of energy workers today is to keep the energy system intact and the security of electricity supplies, — added Kolesnik.
Recall that, as of July 21, in Ukraine, restrictions have been partially lifted — until 15:00, the schedule will not apply, after that, one and two stages of power outages will be in effect.
