The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to defend the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The situation there is complicated, but controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov spoke about this on the air of the telethon, Channel 24 reports.
Fierce battles are going on near Bakhmut
Danilov stressed that the Ukrainian military is doing everything possible to moderate the enemy.
“The situation is difficult, but this is our land and we must defend it. Our defenders are doing everything possible and impossible to prevent the enemy from advancing,” he stressed.
According to Danilov, it is in this direction that the most fierce battles take place and a huge number of Russian soldiers die every day.
The situation is extremely complicated, not easy, but I emphasize once again that the military understands what they need to do. The situation is difficult, but manageable,” he added.
The enemy is taking heavy losses.
- According to Danilov, in Bakhmut the invaders lose seven times more soldiers than the Ukrainian side.
- The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council also noted that our military destroy terrorists on Bakhmut every day, they “pack” them in hundreds. According to him, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot defend themselves in Bakhmut, then the troops will be overturned in other directions. Our warriors will defend the city for as long as they see fit.
- Press officer of the 112th territorial defense brigade Andrei Kovalev said that Russia lost more soldiers in Bakhmut than in both Chechen wars.
Important! As of March 3, 2023, 151,370 invaders have already been liquidated in Ukraine. Over the past day alone, our soldiers have destroyed another 765 Russian occupiers.
