Swing about the situation in Popasna and Rubizhne/5.ua
Occupiers are trying to target food warehouses, granaries, hospitals and humanitarian aid offices in the Luhansk region.
The head of the Luhansk police department told about this Sergei Gaidai.
He said that the enemy most likely strikes critical infrastructure with the help of spotters.
The main gas pipes have already been broken, electric substations can no longer pump water. But we still manage to deliver humanitarian aid and food packages to Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. But every day the situation at the front makes it impossible to deliver rubber cargo to Popasnaya and Rubizhnoye, – Gaidai noted.
Residents of Popasna and Rubizhnoye will only have enough supplies for a week
According to him, it is in Popasnaya and Rubizhnoye are now in a very difficult situation, they can neither bring anything there nor evacuate people from these territories, because the enemy shoots almost everything.
Gaidai also said that it is difficult to say how long people will be able to hold out in the blocked and heavy cities. Stocks will last for about a week.
Imagine that people are sitting without water, food and medical and hygiene products. We are trying to deliver humanitarian supplies at least on the outskirts of cities, and before the fighting covered these cities, we tried to deliver humanitarian kits as much as possible. – said the chairman of the OVA.
The situation in Severodonetsk
Gaidai noted that Russian infidels are trying to block Severodonetsk from two sides – from Rubizhne and Voevodovka. He said that the Ukrainian side understands how the enemy wants to encircle the city. But in practice, the infidels have been doing nothing for the second month already.
The head of the OVA stated that enemy shelling in the Lugansk region would not stop in the near future, but rather would only become more massive, since the enemy could not break through the defense line Ukrainian defenders.
It is precisely because of the lack of success and combat losses that the Russians chaotically shell the cities from “Grad” and artillery, trying to completely destroy them.
Losses of the enemy in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions for the past day
Over the past day, on May 3, on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled twelve enemy attacks. They also managed to destroy:
- 5 tanks,
- 6 artillery systems (3 of them multiple rocket launchers);
- 15 units of combat armored vehicles;
- 9 vehicles of the enemy.
