The situation has changed: how Iran got into a rather difficult situation Natalia Belzetskaya

EU foreign ministers have finally agreed to impose new sanctions against Iran over the supply of ballistic missiles to Russia. However, we must not forget that the world is built on the principle of capitalism, so everyone wants to earn money.

Russia could receive approximately 120 billion in 2025 thanks to the sale of gas and oil. Oleg Rybachuk, chairman of the analytical and advocacy agency “Center for Joint Actions”, told Channel 24 about this, noting that such an opportunity appears when you bypass sanctions.

Iran in a very difficult situation

The United States' position on Iran and China has become much tougher. The European Union, when deciding on sanctions, also understands that this will have serious consequences for Iran.

However, we should not forget that Iran practically grew up under sanctions. The country, being under serious restrictions, still finds ways to supply weapons to Russia and produce its own. Although formally this should be impossible.

But now the situation has changed fundamentally, because there is a threat of a direct clash between Israel and Iran. Iran has always defended itself through its proxies: Hezbollah, Hamas, but now the war is going on in Lebanon and the situation there is literally hanging by a thread, – emphasized Oleg Rybachuk.

Pay attention! Iran launched a massive attack on Israel on October 1. Hundreds of missiles and drones were launched at the country, some of which reached their target. This was a response to the murder of the leader of Hezbollah. Now Israel has promised its response.

Therefore, the biggest problem for Iran now is not new sanctions, but avoiding a crushing clash with Israel, behind which the United States stands. As for Ukraine, we understand that Iranian officials cannot be trusted.

Even though they do not confirm direct cooperation with Russia, everyone understands that it is thanks to them that “Shaheds” have started to fly on the heads of Ukrainians. Moreover, Iranian components are also found in the missiles that are fired at our country.

However, in fairness, it is worth adding that about 70% of electronics still come from America and the European Union. Therefore, the issue is very complex, but politically it is good that Iran received a clear signal from the EU in the form of sanctions.
