The Ministry of Infrastructure said that it is capable of transporting up to 30,000 tons of Ukrainian corn.
Note that this is the second vessel that entered the Chornomorsk port for loading as part of the signed Initiative for the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports.
The day before, on August 9, 2 more ships left the port of Chornomorsk. Another 70,000 tons of food went through the “grain corridor”.
2 ships left the port “Chernomorsk” with a total cargo of 70 thousand tons. The RAHMI YAGGI vessel will deliver 5,300 tons of food to Turkey, and the panamax bulk carrier OCEAN LION will deliver almost 65,000 tons of corn to South Korea, the message says.
Ukraine plans to send more than 100 ships per month< /h3>
Our government is planning to do everything possible to handle more than 100 ships every month. This was told by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov. He also added that he strives to ensure that Ukrainian ports work both for exit and entry.
Ukraine's goal for the future is 3 or more million tons of agricultural exports per month. They will send it from the ports “Odessa”, “Chernomorsk” and “Yuzhny”.
If we talk about the current situation, we must first take out last year's harvest. We are talking about 20 million tons of products. And only after that it will be possible to export what Ukrainian farmers have harvested this year.
