In Germany, 18-year-old Ukrainian basketball player Artem Kozachenko, who was injured as a result of an armed attack in Dusseldorf on February 10, died in a hospital in Germany.

Attack on two Ukrainians in Germany

On February 10, it became known that at a bus stop on Willi-Brandt-Platz in Oberhausen, two Ukrainian basketball players of the ART Giants youth team were attacked by unknown assailants and inflicted numerous stab wounds.

17-year-old Vladimir Ermakov died on the same day. Artem Kozachenko was in intensive care, and over the past few days his condition has deteriorated sharply. Doctors were unable to save the young basketball player.

Local police have already detained a 14-year-old German of Greek origin from Herne, two Syrians aged 14 and 15 from Gelsenkirchen.

The main suspect in the murder is considered to be a 15-year-old German of Turkish origin, Mert M., who had already been arrested before.
