The invaders destroyed the shopping center in Kremenchug/State Emergency Service
On June 27, the Russians fired two cruise missiles at Kremenchug. One of them hit the Amstor shopping center and caused many civilian casualties. In turn, another enemy missile hit the wasteland.
This was told by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko. He personally came to the scene, having learned about the tragedy.
Many people are under the rubble
Gerashchenko said on the air of one of the Russian TV channels that the cruise missile of the invaders completely destroyed the Amstor shopping center in the peaceful city of Kremenchug. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kh-22, which was fired from Russian bombers flying over the Kursk region, hit there.
Rescue work continues here. The fire was extinguished. The huge rubble continues to be cleared. The roof of a 1,000-square-meter building collapsed. Where was the roof of the supermarket, now the sky. Our rescuers are working there now,” the adviser to the minister noted.
Rescuers cut metal structures with gas cutters. According to Gerashchenko, many people are still under huge rubble. In his opinion, the exact number of those killed as a result of an enemy missile strike will be known only in the morning.
“It is very difficult for rescuers to work, because there is nothing to breathe inside. Many guys work in masks, respirators. Now several hundred people are working here, sorting out the rubble. They will work all night. There are also special vehicles that clear the territory,” the adviser to the minister added. . .
Among the wreckage of the building, pieces of a Russian rocket made of titanium and aluminum are already being found. Work on clearing the rubble will continue.
“The chances of finding someone alive are very small. I was inside there. You can't hear the groans, because after the rocket hit there was a terrible fire, and there was such carbon monoxide that even, when 5 hours passed after the impact, it was hard to breathe. I did not hear groans,” Gerashchenko said.
Another rocket landed on a wasteland
The minister's adviser noted that immediately after the missile attack, approximately 20 people were rescued. After all, a very small part of the shopping center remained intact – literally 200 square meters.
“It's hard for me to judge the goals of crazy Putin and his crazy generals. I don't know where they aimed. I see with my own eyes, I see the ruins of the center, where people just went to buy food, and nothing else. This is not a military facility,” “added Gerashchenko.
According to him, another explosion occurred in the city that day. However, no one died as a result of this strike, since the rocket hit a wasteland.
This is the precision weapon Russians have: yesterday they got into a residential building and a kindergarten in Kyiv, here they ended up in a wasteland and a mall. That's all the glory of Russian high-precision weapons, – said Gerashchenko.
The minister's adviser added that the Russian propagandists, who immediately after the strike began to say that everything was fake, are the same garbage as the Russian generals and officers who kill Ukrainian soldiers.
“Propagandists kill even more, turning the Russian people against the Ukrainians, turning us into “Nazis.” This supermarket was filled with customers who were also clearly “Nazis,” Gerashchenko said.
He noted that there are a lot of residents in Kremenchug who speak Russian and are Russians by nationality. Under the rubble of the shopping center, there are also probably dozens of ethnic Russians who spoke Russian.
“See how they” denazified “. every city in Russia. Let the Russians look at this and imagine that a rocket flew into some of their cities – Novosibirsk, Vladivostok or Syzran – and destroyed a huge supermarket, burying hundreds of people under the rubble,” Gerashchenko summed up.
