The SBU counterintelligence neutralized a large intelligence network of the FSB, which operated in the Odessa, Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions.
During the special operation, 5 Russian agents were detained simultaneously, who were scouting places where Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel were concentrated, warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants.
The FSB agents were also interested in the work of enterprises where heavy weapons of the Ukrainian troops are repaired.

For secrecy, these agents acted separately, but they had one supervisor — a career FSB officer who created an anonymous chat for each of them.
How and where the FSB recruited Ukrainians
In October 2023, two men and three women with pro-Russian views agreed in absentia to cooperate with the intelligence services of the aggressor country.
Among them — residents of Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Dobropolye (Donetsk region), Reni (Odessa region) and Zaporozhye.
In particular, the SBU detained an official from a department of one of the city councils in the Donetsk region. Besides her, there were two more enemy agents in the region — ex-head of a local utility company and resident of Kramatorsk.
Another FSB agent turned out to be a process engineer at one of the defense enterprises in Zaporozhye. She transmitted to the enemy intelligence information on the repair of military equipment at the plant's production facilities.
A an official of a transport company from the Odessa regioncollected information on the possible transfer of SUVs to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He managed to transmit data on the movement of equipment and personnel of the Ukrainian army at least three times.

During the searches, mobile phones with evidence of cooperation with the FSB were confiscated from the detainees.
All five were declared suspected of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The attackers are in custody. They face life imprisonment.
