On the night of December 17, the SBU and the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region. Ukrainian drones flew at least 300 kilometers to reach the target.

SBU and Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the airfield

On the night of December 17, the SBU, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carried out a successful operation and carried out a drone attack on a Russian airfield in Morozovsk, Rostov region. The 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces is stationed there.

The occupiers have already classically announced a repelled attack, the work of air defense and other fables, but the Ukrainian special services are convincing – enemy equipment significantly affected. At the airfield at the time of the strike there were up to 20 Su-34 aircraft, as well as 3 radar stations and other Russian equipment.

Distance to the nearest Ukrainian settlement that is not under Russian occupation troops is about 300 kilometers. However, most likely the Ukrainian drones traveled a much longer distance.

Night UAV attack on Russia

• On the night of December 17, Russians complained about drone attacks in several regions – drones were allegedly shot down over the Lipetsk, Rostov and Volgograd regions. The Russian authorities stated that they allegedly destroyed 33 UAVs.
• The Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the traditional statements of the hostile Ministry of Defense, allegedly “the air defense shot down everything”, are another lie. There they were convinced that the targets had been hit. As a result of the drone attack, there is destruction.
• Photos were also published online showing the consequences of the attack on the Morozovsk airfield near Rostov. They show how the side of the Su-34 was probably cut as a result of the attack. Drones were also found at the site, on which the inscriptions “from Yarik” or “sponsor Ani Lorak” could be seen.
