The Russians will continue the offensive: Svitan named possible directions of attacks

by alex

The Russian occupiers do not abandon their attempts to achieve at least some results in Ukraine. The invaders will continue their attacks in the East of Ukraine.

This was told to Channel 24 by a military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan. At the same time, British intelligence notes that the Russians will not be able to attack along the entire front line in eastern Ukraine.

British officials suggest that Russian forces will face a choice:

  • or keep the line of defense at the Bakhmut bridgehead;
  • or to transfer forces and try to attack in the area of Ugledar.

Pinpoint attacks by invaders

Swithan noted that one could argue with the assumptions of British intelligence.

The fact is that the occupiers do not stretch the front line. The Russians attack pointwise. That is, they do not go on the offensive on a 200-kilometer-wide front,” the military expert explained.

He added that the Russians did not have attacks in areas of more than 10 kilometers along the width of the front.

Why the Russians can not launch a large-scale offensive

According to him, for large-scale attacks, the Russians lack not so much troops as management. In order to attack on a front of 200 kilometers, there must be army corps that have already passed combat coordination.

This is a whole process that Russia simply did not go through. They rounded up the mobilized to Donbass, who received a maximum of training in working with small arms, no more,” Svitan said.

As the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted, Russian units may have passed combat coordination to the level of a battalion. However, they did not have powerful military training for many tasks. For example, to work with equipment that covers troops during an offensive.

The Russians simply cannot make a large-scale offensive . They are not ready, they are simply not trained for this,” Svitan said.

Where the occupiers will continue offensive operations

The military expert is convinced that the Russians will be able to carry out pinpoint attacks on manpower on a frontline from 3 to 10 kilometers. According to him, the same thing is happening now.

The enemy will continue offensive operations in areas up to 10 kilometers along the entire Donetsk-Lugansk front. They can also connect the Zaporizhzhya Front, but also not at a large width. Svitan said.

According to the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there are a number of places near which the Russians will continue pinpoint attacks. In particular, we are talking about such settlements as:

  • Vuhledar;
  • Marinka;
  • Avdiivka;
  • Bakhmut;
  • Belogorivka in the Luhansk region;
  • Kremennaya;
  • Kupyansk.

As Svitan explained, in these places the Russian invaders will be able to show some activity for about a month.

What to expect at the front: briefly

  • American intelligence is convinced that Russia still lacks the ammunition and troops to succeed in the war in Ukraine in 2023. So she can go on the defensive.
  • The Russians are now going on an active offensive, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are performing defensive actions. The long-awaited counteroffensive of our soldiers may soon begin, but this does not depend on the weather.
  • Roman Konon, lieutenant of the Svoboda battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine, believes that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin from Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
