Russia spreads fakes/Marketing Week
Russia is massively using disinformation and propaganda in the war against Ukraine. Sometimes even the world media is “led” to it, spreading Kremlin fakes.
So it happened with another “statement” of the Russian Ministry of Defense. They are sure that Poland plans to send its troops to the West of Ukraine “under the pretext of training.” And thus establish control over this territory. Poland seems to take away part of Ukraine if Russia seizes the Donbass and the South of our state. And it seems that the United States has already received approval for this.
This “statement” almost completely repeats the fake that the Russians massively spread back in 2014. Then they even drew a map of the division of Ukraine between Russia and Poland. The plot about this fake was shown on Polish television. And a few years later, Russian propagandists distributed a screen from this story with the assertion that Poland was really preparing to attack Ukraine, grabbing part of it.
Now the danger lies in the fact that information about the “seizure of Ukraine by Poland” after the “statement “The Russian Ministry of Defense is spread not only by outspoken Kremlin propagandists, but also by those who are called “liberal Russian media”.
And it has already reached the point that Western media are also beginning to distribute. Among them is Reuters. It published news titled “The head of Russian intelligence said that the United States and Poland are planning to divide Ukraine.”
At the same time, in a commentary for the publication, the speaker of the Polish special services said that this was an outright lie. And he recalled that it has been expanding for several years in a row.
Such an attempt by Russia to spread fakes is not an isolated one. Therefore, one should be more attentive to information, especially from Russians.
